Sometimes you just want to admit defeat. You feel like you've given it all that you've got and the results you seek are nowhere in sight. You are tired. You are frustrated. It's just not working. Maybe it wasn't meant to be. Perhaps you picked the wrong goal, the wrong battle and you're just wasting your time. Surely something should have happened by now.

You are not alone. Everyone runs into a wall now and then. Here are some examples:

Walt Disney was fired by a newspaper editor "for lack of ideas" and went bankrupt several times before building Disneyland.

Thomas Edison once had a teacher say that he was "too stupid to learn anything".

Albert Einstein did not speak until he was 4 years old. He couldn't read until he was 7 years old. One teacher described him as "mentally slow, unsociable, and adrift forever in his foolish dream". He was even expelled from school.

Winston Churchill failed 6th grade. He didn't become Prime Minister until the age of 62 and that was after many setbacks earlier in his life.

Henry Ford failed repeatedly and went broke 5 times before he finally succeeded.

It is a reality that we remember people for their successes and not their failures. Everybody fails at something sometime, maybe multiple times. Nobody gets everything right every time. NOBODY. So the struggles you face put you in good company. When you feel like you are at the end and want to give up, that's when you must take a breath and dig deep within yourself, and push through your weaknesses and insecurities. 

Every champion was once just a contender. You have to plow through the rough days to earn the best days of your life.
